About the McKennaii strain

The McKennaii psilocybe cubensis is a lab-cultivated strain — not found in the wild — developed by Dutch mycologists and named in honour of the legendary ethnobotanist and psychonaut Terence McKenna. It was designed to be one of the most potent cubensis strains available.

McKennaii mushrooms produce medium to large fruiting bodies with caramel to deep brown caps (30–60 mm) that are often slightly wavy or bulbous in shape. Stems are thick, dense, and creamy white (50–120 mm), bruising heavily blue-green when handled — a visual indicator of high psilocybin content.

The experience is intense and deeply immersive: strong geometric visuals, vivid colour enhancement, and a heavy, philosophical headspace. Effects tend to onset faster than average cubensis strains. McKennaii is the strongest strain in the GetMagic® range and is not recommended for beginners — start with Golden Teacher or Mexican if this is your first grow.
